宜昌（长江大桥）至长阳土家族自治县（白氏坪）段是湖北沪蓉西高速公路的试验路段，起于宜昌长江公路大桥南岸桥头，途经枝城市，止于长阳土家族自治县龙舟坪镇白氏坪开发区，全长16.48公里，总投资9亿元，2003年2月开工建设。
